This unique pergola, featuring an offset cantilever design, is built from corten, or "weathering" steel. Corten was developed to eliminate the need for finishing, and form a stable rust-like appearance after extended exposure to weather.  With consideration for the dry climate of Colorado, a chemical treatment was used to accelerate the rust development and allow the structure to blend seamlessly with the existing corten siding on the home.
