Tree Frog Woodworking teamed up with Enyart Forge to complete this multi-year restoration of the Colorado State Capitol. The original installation was done in the late 1800’s, and in the 1950’s, workers attempted to improve the acoustics in the chambers by covering up the skylights and hanging a drop ceiling. Much of the original work was destroyed in the process. The project consisted of replicating, repairing and replacing sheet metal components in the skylights above the senate and house chambers. We employed a multitude of techniques to recreate the work of the artisans who originally created this work of art.
