A beautiful maple slab was cut to create a live-edge backsplash. It is supported by 3/8" thick steel plate and a sturdy patinated steel base to achieve a striking cantilever appearance. The maple is reinforced with a patinated steel "bowtie" and finished with a natural hardening oil.
